How to Join the Liberty Family in Fall 2025

Are you excited to start your college journey? We want to make the transition from high school or another college/university to Liberty as smooth as possible for you.

At Liberty, we’re committed to helping our students succeed and thrive. One way we do that is by not having strict admission deadlines, allowing you to apply whenever it’s most convenient for you.

However, by acting early and meeting all four of our priority deadlines, you can compete to win one of twenty-five $2,000 tuition scholarships. And the sooner you apply, the sooner you can receive an admission decision and take the next steps toward attending Liberty!

Early Action Deadlines

1) Apply to Liberty

Early Action Deadline: December 31, 2024*

Submit your residential undergraduate application by December 31, 2024. Once you’ve completed your application, you’re ready to move on to our second Early Action Deadline!

Apply now online or with help from an admissions counselor.

2) Acceptance and Deposit

Early Action Deadline: February 28, 2025*

To meet this early action deadline, you need to get accepted as a full-time, residential undergraduate student and place your Enrollment Deposit by February 28, 2025.

Have you checked out your personalized Student Checklist? All of your required admission documents and more can be found on it, and it can help you with meeting this deadline.

3) Confirm Your Attendance

Early Action Deadline: April 30, 2025*

Financial Check-In (FCI) is the process where you will choose your housing tier and dining plan and, most importantly, secure your enrollment at Liberty! Complete this step by April 30, 2025.

Pro-tip: We recommend completing FCI sooner to lock in the best payment plan and housing options available (typically opens in early-January).

4) Register for Classes

Early Action Deadline: June 15, 2025*

The last early action step is to be registered as a full-time undergraduate student. This means having anywhere from 12 to 18 credit hours on your schedule by June 15, 2025.

Registration typically opens in April, so you’ll have plenty of time to find the right schedule for you.

Early Action Scholarship Contest

Contest Deadline: June 30, 2025*

Once you have completed all four Early Action Deadlines, submit a video to compete for one of twenty-five $2,000 scholarships.

The deadline to submit your video entry for the Early Action Scholarship contest has passed. See the Fall 2024 Winners below. See here for Rubric and Rules.

Frequently Asked Questions

Am I eligible for early action status?

You can apply as an early action student if you meet all of the following criteria:

  1. You are a new or transfer student.
  2. You plan to complete a residential, undergraduate program at Liberty.
  3. You are a degree-seeking student (which means you don’t fall into one of our Special Student categories).
What does “early action deadline” mean?

We typically do not have strict deadlines for college applications. You can apply whenever you’re ready, and your application will be reviewed regardless of when it was submitted.

However, Liberty does have set deadlines for early action student applications. If you meet these deadlines, you can become eligible for additional scholarships!

We still accept all applications on a rolling basis, so there’s no penalty for applying after the early action deadline. But if you want to receive early action student benefits, we encourage you to apply as early as possible! Be sure to complete our admission steps by the dates listed above. That way, you can receive an early decision from our admissions committee and take next steps toward joining the Liberty family.

What are the admission requirements for early action students?

As an early applicant, you will follow the same admission requirements as all other students. The only difference is that you’ll need to apply by certain deadlines (outlined above).

All students, including early action students, must follow Liberty University’s application requirements. Be sure to submit all necessary items in a timely manner, including your high school transcripts, admission essay, and Liberty University’s Enrollment Deposit.

For more information, visit Liberty University’s admission requirements page. You can also call Liberty University’s admissions office at (800) 543-5317 or send an email to admissions@liberty.edu.

Can I still receive scholarships without being an early action student?

Yes! Applying through our early action program is a great way to increase your scholarship options — but it’s not the only way to receive institutional aid. Check out our available scholarships for more information about Liberty’s scholarship deadlines.

Will applying early improve my chances of being accepted?

At Liberty, we’re committed to giving all students an equal chance of being admitted. We evaluate all applications according to the same standards, and our admission decisions rely on the strength — rather than the timing — of your application.

Whether or not you apply early, having a strong academic record, and submitting all necessary documentation will help improve your chances of being accepted.
